Tim's Linux/KDE Screenshots
Some screenshots of my Linux desktop.
KDE 3.1 Screenshots with Christmas and Winter Decor
On the panel in these screenshots: KWeather and the KDE News Ticker, also notice my adjustment providing me with a
KDE 1.x-style top of the screen taskbar (which I think is much handier). The widget
style is the beautiful and original Keramik that premiers in KDE 3.1, and the icons are from KDE 3.1's Crystal SVG
set (default), which has been primarily designed by Everaldo and Tackat. Also notice the extremely smooth, high-quality
font rendering and anti-aliasing provided by FreeType 2.1 with bytecode interperating enabled.
- Christmas 2002:
The wallpaper is a Christmas wallpaper from VisualParadox. The
color scheme is KDE 3.1's "Keramik Blue," which seems nice and "icy" for January.
- Editing in KWrite:
Here you can see KDE 3.1's slightly cleaner open dialog box with thumbnail HTML previews enabled. The
color scheme is KDE 3.1's "Keramik Blue," which seems nice and "icy" for January.
- Christmas 2002:
The wallpaper is a Christmas wallpaper from VisualParadox. The
color scheme is my very own "Tim's Green Improv."
KDE 3.0 Screenshots
- My Desktop, April 7, 2002:
On the panel: KWeather and the KDE News Ticker.
The wallpaper is Morning Light from Digital Blasphamey. The widget
style is once again Mosfet's Liquid (new, improved KDE 3 edition!), and the icons are from the long awaited Crystal
icon theme by "everaldo."
- My Desktop, April 5, 2002:
On the panel: KWeather and the KDE News Ticker.
The wallpaper is Morning Light from Digital Blasphamey. The widget
style is once again Mosfet's Liquid (new, improved KDE 3 edition!), and the icons are the iKons .53 icon theme.
KDE 2.2.2 Screenshots
- My Desktop, March 2002:
On the panel: KMMS, an XMMS remote and the KDE News Ticker.
The wallpaper is Morning Light from Digital Blasphamey. The widget
style is once again Mosfet's Liquid (ah, I love transparent menus!), and the icons are the Slick Icons icon theme.
- GTK Look:
I'm not fond of the default Motif/GTK look, but just to show that I can make KDE look like Motif... The widget
style is QT-Motif, the window decorations are the excellent QNiX style, and the icons are the Slick Icons icon theme.
- My Desktop, December 2001:
On the panel: KMMS, an XMMS remote and the KDE News Ticker.
The wallpaper is from Visual Paradox's Christmas collection. The widget
style is Mosfet's Liquid (notice the wonderfully transparent menus), and the icons are the iKons version .48 icon theme.
